Alyssa Wolfe, daughter of Ellen Ball of Foxworth, Mississippi and Dr. Lloyd Wolfe, Jr., of Laurel, Mississippi, is in her second year as a member of the Lady Wildcats. Wolfe was a member of the West Marion High School tennis program for six years. She was a significant contributor to the 2007 District Championship and was awarded Best Female Athlete for the season. Wolfe graduated as Valedictorian of the 2008 class and was also a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, Mu Alpha Theta, the Spanish Club, the West Marion Marching Band, and was an All American Cheerleader. During her freshman year at Pearl River, Wolfe competed at number three singles and number two doubles contributing to the Lady Wildcats 8-4 season, the teams only losses being to eventual state champions Jones County Junior College and runner-up Hinds Community College. Wolfe was also the recipient of Pearl River’s Scholar Female Athlete Award for the 08-09 year. During the fall, Wolfe competed in the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southern Championships. Along with partner Kristen Barber, she advanced to the finals of the doubles consolation draw.
