Tyler comes to Radford after an impressive high school career in the tough 3A Virginia high school league. In 2004 as their #1 player, Early led Patrick Henry high school to the state championship and partnered with Brock Newton to win the state doubles title. Early also brings a strong record in the classroom with him to RU. A record that  enabled him to be awarded an RU presidential scholarship.

2005: Early saw limited play in 05 with a dual match record of 2-1 at #6.

2005 Fall: Tyler had a good fall with a singles record of 4-3 and advancing to the finals of the Hampton Rds tournament C flight. He was also undefeated, going 2-0 in doubles.
