2005: James comes to Radford as one of the top juniors in the UK. He brings to RU tennis a solid all court game and international doubles experience. In addition to a top junior career Lloyd also has played the senior circuit and garnered ATP points.

James is the son of Tony and Gillian and has a younger brother and sister.

2005: Lloyd had a good freshman spring dual match season with a record of 10-7 and 5-1 in conference at the #1 position. He was named all conference and conference freshman of the year.

 2005 Fall: James had a great fall tournament season compiling a 9-2 doubles record with Martin Sayer and going 10-3 in singles, winning the Penn Classic main flight and winning 3 matches in the main draw of the  ITA mid-east indoor regional.

2006 Spring:

James had a  terrific spring season with the following:

Singles record 36-15.....doubles 29-16....high Nat ranking of 97....all conference singles and doubles.....Team captian for 06-07
