Camila Noldin, born and raised in Florianópoilis - Brazil, has been playing tennis since she was 14. In the fall of 2004 she left Brazil and came to Radford, where she played racquet one for the Highlanders. She had as her coach Carlos Alves, first coach of the professional tennis player Gustavo Kuerten. In 2003 she was ranked 20th in the nation (CBT - Brazilian Tennis Confederation) after winning the Cascavel Open, a national tournament. In 2002 she ended the year ranked #1 of the state after winning the states' championship. She is the daughter of Otilia and Carlos Eduardo Noldin and has one younger sister, Carolina.
