Mirna is one of three freshman for the Radford Highlanders and will contribute greatly to the up and rising women's program. In Croatia, Mirna was ranked around 40 in the country in the age groups of 14's, 16's, and 18's. She represented her school in tennis and received many awards not only for tennis but in running. For tennis, she finished second place in her state. Mirna also played handball and took part in track and field. While at Radford, Mirna plans to major in psychology. She was born in 1988 and is the daughter of Jovan and Jadranka Matic and has one sibling, Jovica who is 26 years old. Mirna chose Radford because of the size of the campus, the tennis team, which is led by a good coach.
