Earned a spot in the Tars everyday line-up in his first season at Rollins and will look to continue that success into 2008 playing the No. 1 slot. 2007: Compton went 6-11 overall and 5-9 playing at the No. 1 spot. Teamed with Jonathan Gomez at the No. 1 doubles to go 8-5 and 3-0 against nationally ranked opponents. 2006: Finished the year with a 9-11 mark playing in the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 positions. Had a great season in doubles play, going 16-6 with various partners. Hooked up with Carolos Custodio and finished the year ranked 22nd in the nation. Named Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week for March 26th. Began the fall with a fifth place finish at the Florida Southern Invitational, then reached the third round of the ITA Regional Championships. Had a successful Varner Memorial Tournament at home, reaching the final 16 of flight A. 2005: Played No. 6 position for Michigan State, going 2-6 in the spring season, including wins against Western Michigan and Arkansas, while posting a record of 6-10 in the fall season. Served as a captain for final two seasons, leading the Braves to two state championships while also capturing a state crown as a freshman in 2003.
