As a Senior (2011-12): Went 5-4 in singles play during the fall and 2-2 in doubles with Saad Benkirane. As a Junior (2010-11): Finished the season with a 14-10 singles record playing all but one match at the No. 3 spot ... was 4-5 against WCC opponents ... went 2-1 in the WCC Championships ... won three matches against opponents from ranked teams ... won five straight matches between March 5- March 25 with wins against Seattle, Louisiana-Lafayette, UC Riverside, Ball State, and No. 57 Idaho ... went 10-4 between February 26-April 10. As a Sophomore (2009-10): Competed in all 23 matches, posting a 10-11 overall record at No. 3 singles...was an Honorable Mention All-West Coast Conference selection...posted an 8-12 record in doubles play, including a 1-1 record at No. 1, a 1-6 record at No. 2, and a 6-5 record at No. 3...won his last two finished matches of the season, defeating Geza Bazula of LMU 5-7, 7-6, 6-4 in the third round of the WCC Championships...also had a 6-3, 7-5 win over Jay Wong of #57 Santa Clara in the final match of the regular season...won six of seven matches, including three straight matches from Mar. 4-14 and Mar. 27-Apr 8...posted an 8-2 win over Portland when paired with Steven Dawson-Roberts in second round of the WCC Championships...was 6-5 overall in doubles when paired with Dawson-Roberts...duo of Hamdy and Lucas Tirelli defeated Eastern Washington's top doubles team 8-4. As a Freshman (2008-09): Finished freshman campaign with an 11-5 doubles mark and 2-8 singles record...posted a five-match doubles win-streak midway through the season, pairing up with Achim Christner and Steven Dawson-Roberts to defeat teams from Loyola Marymount (2/21/09), No. 5 Stanford, UC Davis, Gonzaga (2/28/09), Santa Clara (3/6/09)...was 6-3 in doubles play against WCC opponents...posted a 9-3 record when playing with Christner, including two wins to finish the season at the WCC Championships...named to the West Coast Conference Honorable Mention team for doubles with Christner...first career singles win came against No. 25 California, defeating Bozhidar Katsarov 7-6 (3-0), 3-6, 1-0 (5-0). High School: Joined the Gaels from Cairo, Egypt where he attended American International School...ranked third individually in Egypt and No. 240 by the International Tennis Federation (ITF)...won the IFT in Egypt in August of 2007, advanced to the ITF semifinal in Sudan, semifinal for doubles in Egypt, semifinal for doubles in Dubai, and semifinal in Arab Championships...participated in the African Championship and advanced to the semifinal of the Arab Tournament in 2007...also recruited by Boise, Western Michigan, and Wright...chose Saint Mary's because of its excellent tennis program and top competition in the West Coast Conference...plans to major in economics.
