 Tricia Guidace

Tricia Guidace is in her second season on the mission campus, but begins a new role for the 2004 campaign, as she became the program’s interim head coach in September 2003.

Guidace originally joined the SCU program in October 2002 as an assistant coach, and helped lead the Broncos through one of their toughest schedules in recent history, as Santa Clara competed against six nationally-ranked programs. The Broncos finished strong, placing third at the West Coast Conference Championships for the second straight year, and ranking 11th in the Northwest Region.

“Santa Clara offers great opportunities for student-athletes, I was extremely excited at the prospect of coaching here,” Guidace said. “The women’s tennis program has such potential; I am excited to be a part of it at such a pivotal time.”

Guidace attended Presentation High School in nearby San Jose and attended San Jose State University. She has been the assistant professional at the San Jose Swim & Racquet Club for the last six years, and educates adults and children. She worked on campus the past two summers as the assistant director of the Santa Clara Nike Tennis Camp.

Guidace and her husband John have a 12-year-old daughter, Ashley. The family resides in Willow Glen.
