Tennis Staff
 Ben Cabell

Former Santa Clara University student-athlete Ben Cabell begins his first season on the mission campus as a volunteer assistant coach. He will assist first-year head coach Damon Coupe with on-court responsibilities as well as with the team's strength and conditioning program.

"I'm very excited to have Ben join our staff," Coupe said. "The team is also looking forward to extra help on the court. Ben and I have similar philosophies in the way we teach and mold players and I think he'll make an excellent addition to the program."

"I'm very excited to be returning to campus," said Cabell, who represented the Broncos during the 1996 season. "I played here, so I know I'll fit in. I already feel the family setting this department offers and Damon and I have a lot of the same goals. I'm looking forward to starting the season."

A native of Los Altos, Cabell began his collegiate career at Foothill Junior College. After one season with the Broncos, Cabell transferred to San Diego State, where he graduated in 2000 with a degree in political science. Cabell is currently an assistant pro at the Los Altos Golf & Tennis Club.
