 Nate Simms

Nathan Simms takes over the Skidmore program this season after spending the past six years as head women's coach at Middlebury College, compiling a 75-29 record. Under his direction, the Panthers consistently ranked in the national top-20 and earned four trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The 2005 team advanced to the NCAA semifinals, earning Simms ITA Northeast and New England Small College Athletic Conference Coach of the Year awards.

A 1992 graduate of Middlebury, Simms played four years for the Panthers. He continues to play in regional tournaments and is regionally ranked by the USTA in men's singles and doubles.

Following college, Simms competed for eight years as a professional snowboarder on the World Cup Tour. From 1992-2004, Simms spent 12 summers working for the Albany, N.Y. 15-love Tennis Program, a not-for-profit organization that provides free tennis and life-skills classes for local youth. A 1988 graduate of Troy (N.Y.) High School, Simms continues to reside in the Capital District.
