Ken Nugent enters his third season on the tennis team at number 6 singles after a successful first season. Born in Amityville, New York, Nugent graduated from Pocomoke HS in Worcester County and received numerous team awards such as Team MVP in 2006, the Team Sportsmanship Award in '03, '04 and '05, and Scholar-Athlete of the Year in '06. Nugent was named a Maryland Tennis All-Star in '04 and '05. He also reached the State Tournament in 2006 in doubles play. Majoring in biology, Nugent also had a stellar academic career achieving Distinguished Honor Roll, being inducted into the National Honor Society, and graduating in the top 5% of his class. Nugent is the son of Michael and Maryellen, and the brother of James and Sean. Ken was the recipient of the Most Improved Player of the year. He enters this season as #4 singles and #2 doubles.
