Representing Morocco at the 2007 Universiade in Thailand.

Played mostly #1 singles (14-0) and #2 singles (5-2).  Played both with Peter Dzuba and Daniel Stamp at #3 doubles.

Prior to Stetson:

Laalej reached an ITF World Junior ranking of 297 and is the second-highest rated under-18 player in Morocco.  The 6-5, 180-pound incoming freshman has won more than 20 national tournaments including an ITF Junior group 5 singles event in Algeria in 2005 and two ITF Junior doubles events.
