Shipman arrived at Stetson in August from Georgia Regents University (now Augusta University) where he was a member of the Jaguars’ baseball program as a pitcher and team captain, earning All-Conference honors from the Peach Belt in 2011.

While in Augusta, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2013 with an emphasis on exercise and sport science, and followed up with a Master of Science in Kinesiology in 2015. He was an academic honor roll student throughout his college career.

Following completion of his degrees he worked at the University of South Florida in their Athletic Performance program. He also has experience worked as a physical therapist and worked as an adaptive aquatic and rehab specialist at the YMCA in Augusta.

A native of Waxhaw, N.C., Shipman works directly with the baseball and softball teams at Stetson, in addition to both the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
