2001 Fall • 2002 Outlook: Junior Brenna Shackelford will likely compete for a top-six playing position during the spring season.

She saw various tournament action during the fall, including advancing with doubles partner Ivonne Andrade to the second round of the Omni Hotels Southwest Championships. Shackelford recorded a 6-7 singles and 7-4 doubles mark for fall 2001.

2000-01: Shackelford’s role changed from her freshman season. As one of only two returners on last season’s team, she provided direction for the incoming Frogs. She earned a 6-8 singles mark and paired primarily with Paty Aburto (3-3) to record a 4-7 doubles mark.

1999-00: As a freshman, Shackelford proved to be a valuable piece to TCU’s championship season. In the spring, she posted a 7-3 singles record playing in the number 4-6 range. She also went 2-1 in doubles, including a 1-0 record with Jessika Kjellgren and 1-1 with Debbie Bell.

Personal: Brenna Mae Shackelford was born March 25, 1981... Daughter of Terry and Eva Shackelford... A pre-med major... Two-time team 5A state champion at Taylor High School... Member of the Dean’s List, HyperFrogs, Chancellor’s Leadership Program, Leadership Council and AED-Pre-med Honor Society... Her father, Terry, played football for TCU from 1967-71.
