Outlook: Senior Rebecca Reynolds is the third member of the ‘03-04 senior trio. Her enthusiasm and support for her teammates is seen both on and off the court. Reynolds will spend the spring semester studying in Spain. Fall 2003: Competing in only one doubles match during the fall, Reynolds and redshirt freshman Lizzy Kenfield dropped a 9-7 decision to Derksen and Hall of Texas State University during the Omni Hotels Southwest Regional. 2002-03: Reynolds saw action in both the TCU Invitational and Omni Hotels Southwest Regional during the fall. She paired with junior Emily Waters to tally a 1-2 doubles mark and with freshman Lizzy Kenfield to go 0-1, along with a 2-5 singles record. Along with sophomore Molly Purdy, Reynolds dropped their lone doubles match of the spring versus Kanury and C. Sammis of North Texas on February 11 (8-3). For the second year in a row, Reynolds was named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. 2001-02: Reynolds put together a 2-7 singles record and a 1-7 doubles mark as a sophomore. Her only win of the fall against Amy O’Handley of Saint Louis (6-2, 3-6, 10-7) at the Conference USA Individual Championships in November. Reynolds was named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the spring. Student-athletes named to the Honor Roll maintain a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA and participate in a conference-sponsored sport. 2000-01: Reynolds posted a split 3-3 mark in the fall of 2000, her freshman season, on the singles side. She played doubles with Renee Pinkenburg in the spring and the pair defeated Huynh/Alain of North Texas (8-6) to go 1-0. She also teamed with Sandhya Kanury (1-1), Saber Pierce (1-1) and Karolina Roubickova (0-1) in fall matches. Personal: Rebecca Ryan Reynolds was born April 6, 1982 and is the daughter of John and Cathy Reynolds. A journalism major, she was a two-time district singles champion at Coronado High School. As a prep, she earned the USTA National Bill Talbert Junior Sportsmanship Award, USTA Southwest Section Junior Sportsmanship Award and GEPTA Russell E. Ball Sportsmanship Award. At TCU, Reynolds is on the Dean’s List and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta. In her free time, she enjoys photography, hiking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing and traveling. Reynolds has a younger sister, Sherry.
