TOPSPIN: Michele (pronounced Me-Kel) returns to the Golden Eagles as the lone returnee on the squad. He will be looked upon to lead the Golden Eagles in 2005. He gives Tech an experienced weapon who can play both from the baseline and come to the net. With his continually improving ground strokes and high accuracy rate from both sides of the court, Michele will give the Golden Eagles another anchor in the middle. He possesses a powerful serve that allows his game to excel to the next level. His willingness to work and his drive to succeed give him the motivation necessary to return Tech to the Conference Championships this season.

AT TECH:
(2003-2004) - Improving on his win total from his rookie campaign, Michele made great strides during his sophomore season. Playing mostly in the singles bracket of matches, he gave the Golden Eagles much needed depth in each competition and tournament. His 16 wins in singles play were three better from his freshman season, and were critical in helping Tech to the 2004 OVC Championships.

(2002-2003) - Michele finished the season at 13-15 in singles competition and 6-16 in doubles. While the record doesn't necessarily reflect it, Michele had a good transition year as he started to learn the intricacy of NCAA tennis. His Tech career began with him facing several high power opponents and holding his own against several of them picking up the 13 wins against upper level opponents.

HIGH SCHOOL: Michele had a strong prep career...brings national and international experience to the Golden Eagles...sharpened his skills at a local tennis club...claimed several championship titles as a junior and senior.

PERSONAL: The son of Gerardo and Carmen Panzeri...birthdate is March 21, 1982...majoring in health and physical education.
