IN 2008: Mario played in some tough matches during his first season with the Golden Eagles...picked up hard-fought wins at six singles and two and three doubles...tallied 14 singles wins while going even at 6-6 in doubles...played in the singles lineup during the OVC Tournament.
BEFORE TECH: Mario attended Ies El Palo high school of Malaga, Spain. He was coached by Gabriel Haro and Jose Carlos Lacambra and represented his club many times in team tournaments. They made it to the regionals many times and twice made it through to the national championships. He was the number 1 tennis player in Malaga, 3rd in his region and nationally ranked.
