The Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year in his debut season...has high expectations as his career continues for the Golden Eagles...played primarily at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles in his first campaign. His consistent play and fight to win led him to an impressive record in singles his freshman year. In 2009-2010 Justin continued his success on the singles court, capturing victories in some tough battles. Justin has proven that he knows how to win and is willing to perservere until triumph. The team has faith in his endeavors on the court this year for the 2009-2010 season, where he is amongst the top players on the team. AT TECH -- In Fall 2010 (Junior): Justin wrapped up the fall season with a singles record of 6-5 and a doubles record of 2-5. He came out strong at the beginning of the season, posting a 4-0 singles record when he took the championship title of the UNCG Invitational A2 singles bracket. Justin also captured a first round win at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships second singles division and barely fell short in the following round to Alex Zotov of Vanderbilt, 3-6, 6-1, 4-6. He continued to show this fight in the Elon Invitational when he came back from 5-2 defecit in the third set to win the match at 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, capturing the first round. Justins best results in doubles were when paired with teammate Alex Chen. The duo had a 3-2 record together this fall, earning wins over Liberty, Belmont and Kennesaw State.

In 2009-2010 (Sophomore): Justin was a big contributer for Tech during the spring, posting an overall singles record of 13-7 for the year, and a 2-2 OVC singles record. Justin rotated in and out of doubles with other teammates throughout the season, but held an overall 5-5 doubles record, most of his success paired with Nick Stafford. His contributions helped take the Golden Eagles to the conference tournament where they placed second. Justin is known on the team for his "fight" and has proven many times his willingness to compete all day and ware his opponents out. Among the top players for Tech, Justin plans to continue to work hard and continue his positive record....Justin continued in the fall exactly where he left off in the spring of his rookie season, posting wins in both singles and doubles play...went 7-3 in his fall tournament action in singles and was 4-3 in doubles.

In 2008-09 (Freshman): Justin went unbeaten with an 8-0 record in the OVC, and finished the year with a 16-8 overall record in singles including a 15-5 mark in dual matches...was 13-5 at No. 4 and 2-0 at No. 5...in doubles play, he went 12-8 overall including a solid 12-4 record when teaming with Oscar Pachon at No. 3 position...named the OVC Freshman of the Year.

Before Tech: Justin was coached by Earl Grainger... achieved a ranking of three in South Africa... participated on the Junior ITF circuit with a noticeable win over Mohamed Safwat of Egypt, was was then ranked 42 in the world... played first team rugby in high school and was awarded full colors in tennis during his sophomore season.
