Ranked No. 1 regionally and No. 13 nationally in doubles with teammate Mike Beatty entering the spring season…One of three veteran leaders for the Aggies…Comeback win to clinch match over Rice propelled him to win nine of his last 11 matches as a redshirt freshman…State 5A Doubles Champion who redshirted his first year at Texas A&M…Has been ranked as the top singles and doubles player in the state of Texas.
JUNIOR (2005-06)
Posted a 14-20 overall record in singles and 10-14 mark in dual match play…Played in the upper half of the Aggies' singles lineup…Went 2-5 in Big 12 matches…Defeated then No. 45-ranked Matija Zgaga of Baylor in an A&M victory over the Bears…It was the biggest career victory for Wooten against a ranked opponent…The highest-ranked opponent to date…Went a team-best 20-14 in doubles play…Combined with teammate Brett Joelson and put together a 14-10 doubles record and was ranked as high as No. 14 nationally…Also teamed with Marcus Lunt and John Nallon…Went 2-1 with Lunt and 4-3 with Nallon.
SOPHOMORE (2004-05)
Compiled a 5-4 record in fall singles matches and went 5-1 in doubles play…Posted a 2-1 record at the AUDI/Napa Valley Classic against Illinois, Georgia and Cal…Went 1-2 at the Tulsa Hurricane Invitational…Teamed with Brett Joelson to reach the semifinals in doubles of the New Mexico Lobo Balloon Fiesta Tournament.
FRESHMAN (2003-04)
Rallied through a three-set match against then No. 11-ranked Rice as the last match standing to lift A&M to victory…Won a second-set tiebreaker and the third set over Rice’s Jason Mok, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2…Won nine of his last 11 singles matches…Posted a 22-9 overall record and 12-5 mark in dual play…Was 3-1 in Big 12 matches…Saw action mainly at No. 5 and 6…Went 9-9 in doubles play…Named a Verizon/Texas A&M Scholar-Athlete…Clinched the Rice and Lamar matches…Posted an impressive 10-4 record in the fall after being redshirted as a true freshman…Went 2-1 at the AUDI/Napa Valley Classic…Tallied a 3-0 mark at the 2003 Polo Tennis National Collegiate Preview…Played in the Texas Invitational and the ITA Regional…Wrapped up the fall with a 2-1 record at the A&M Invitational.
