AT WESTERN MICHIGAN: Mid-America Conference Player of the Year as a freshman in 1999 … Won the MAC Indoor Championship in singles and doubles … Helped WMU to the MAC Championship, its first in 18 years … Team advanced to the NCAA Championships and lost in the round of 64 to eventual finalist UCLA in Los Angeles Named the ITA Regional Rookie of the Year … A First Team All-MAC selection … Earned MAC Player of the Week honors in April of 1999.


HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS: Ranked No. 2 in the 18s in Canada where he attended high school … ITF Junior Ranking of top 200 in world singles, top 400 in world doubles, top 10 in Morocco … Has represented his home country of Morocco in many international events … Has been ranked in the top 10 in the Moroccan senior rankings.


PERSONAL: Mohamed Dakki is the son of Mohamed Dakki (deceased) and Naima Tazi of Paris, France … Born September 30, 1979 in Paris, France … Is a business major … Has two older brothers and an older sister … Started to play soccer at age 6 because he did not want to play tennis, but his mother forced him to play and he liked it. Started to play competively at age 12 in Casablanca, Morocco. After spending the next year in Paris, he moved to Montreal, Canada at age 14 … Hobbies include playing soccer, watching movies, hunting, jet skis, and scuba diving.
