HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS: One of the top juniors in the country … Trained at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas … Won both the singles and doubles titles at the Chanda Rubin American Junior Classic in Georgia in September of 2003 … Ranked as high as No. 6 in the 16s, No. 47 in the 18s, and 1190 in the ITF … Was seeded No. 16 in singles at the Easter Bowl, the USTA Spring Super National, and finished sixth by reaching the consolation final … In doubles, he was seeded No. 9 and reached the round of 16 … Is the third player to play for coach Tim Cass at A&M that has trained at the Newcombe Tennis Ranch (Khaled El Dorry and former All-American Dumitru Caradima also trained at the facility.) … Won the consolation finals at the 2002 Copper Bowl Championships and finished third in singles in the 16s at the 2003 Easter Bowl … At the 2002 Clay Court Championships, he was seeded seventh and reached the round of 16 … Then, at the USTA Boys Super National Hard Court Championship at Kalamazoo, Mich., he was seeded No. 1 in the 16s and reached the round of 16 before advancing to two consolation matches … At the 2003 Clay Courts he reached the quarterfinals … Some of his other results include winning the 58th Annual Fullerton Junior Tournament and the 102nd Ojai Valley Junior Tournament … He finished third at the 2002 Quicksilver Junior Open National and at the USTA National Open for the 18s.
