SOPHOMORE (2007-08)
Compiled a 17-17 overall singles record...Went 10-12 in dual matches playing primarily at the No. 4 line for the Aggies...Posted a 3-3 record against Big 12 competition...Clinched the Louisville match...Owned the third-best doubles record on the team with 16 wins...Went 2-1 at No. 3 doubles versus Big 12 opponents with partner Matt Bain...Ranked as high as No. 90 nationally and No. 14 regionally in singles leading into the spring season...Also ranked No. 7 regionally in doubles with teammate Conor Pollock...Led the Aggies to a spot in the Big 12 Championship Semifinals with a 4-3 victory over Texas Tech on April 25...Clinched the match versus the Red Raiders winning a three-setter versus Ilya Babinciuc in the last match standing…Reached the singles semifinals at the Midland Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in the fall.
SAINT JOSEPH’S CAREER (2006-07)
Named Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Year and an All-Conference First Team selection as a freshman at Saint Joseph’s University…Posted a 10-6 overall record in singles including a 6-3 mark at the No. 3 line for the Hawks…Won three of his A10 singles matches and all four of his first doubles tilts…Posted singles victories over Richmond’s Chris Louis, Charlotte’s Ryan Johnson and Duquesne’s Adam Townsend…Partnered with older brother, Jarrett Chirico and recorded a 12-1 record at No. 1 doubles with notable wins against Richmond, Charlotte and Duquesne.
