The senior co-captain begins his senior season moving up to the upper part of the lineup ... one of the fiercest competitors on the courts ... posted three straight wins in the fall at the USTA/ITA Division I Texas Regional Championships that included a straight wins against No. 5 seed Daniel Whitehead of Texas. JUNIOR (2010-11)
Hoover and his doubles partner of Alberto Bautista for the majority of the season were ranked as high as No. 32 on Jan. 4, 2011 ... the duo posted a 21-5 record in the spring dual matches playing mainly at the No. 3 line ... the two co-captains teamed up in the NCAA Round of 16 at No. 3 doubles as Bautista was injured and Klegou subbed in, but the tandem beat Stanford (8-6) to help secure the doubles point on Stanford's home court  ... Hoover was 2-0 in singles at the both the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, 3-2 at the No. 3 line, 5-7 at the No. 5 position and 2-0 on the No. 6 line for an overall  12-9 singles record in dual matches. Went 6-4 in dual matches, playing the majority of time at the No. 6 line where we was 2-4 ... also saw action at lines No. 3-5 and posted a combined 4-0 record ... was 6-1 with Alberto Bautista at No. 3 doubles ... had an impressive summer winning the singles titles at both the ITA Summer Circuit in Abilene, Texas, as well as the 2010 US Open Prequalifying Texas Sectional, which earned him a spot in the U.S. Open National Playoffs in Atlanta ... posted an opening round victory by defeating All-American Eric Quigley from the University of Kentucky, who ended the season ranked No. 10 in the ITA rankings and was a member of the USTA Summer Collegiate Team.
