Assistant Coach Russell McMindes is
in his fifth season with the Trinity men’s
tennis team, and was also a three-year
letterman for the Tigers.
A native of Schertz, Texas, McMindes
graduated Valedictorian from Samuel
Clemens High School.
McMindes was All-SCAC for three
seasons, and was a member of the 2000
NCAA Division III National Championship
team. During his fifth year at Trinity, he
served as a volunteer assistant coach
with the Tiger men’s tennis team.
He earned his Bachelor of Science
degree in Engineering Science, with a
concentration in Chemical Engineering.
Following his graduation from Trinity in
2002, McMindes began working as a
Tennis Professional at the San Antonio
Country Club. During that time, he
became a USPTA P1 Certified Pro. In
addition to coaching at Trinity, he has also maintained his position at the Country Club.
