Fall 2001. Played in three fall tournaments. Competed in singles at the adidas Invitational, ITA All-American prequalifying and the Southern California Intercollegiates. Played doubles with Nick Kreiss at the adidas Invitational.

High School/Juniors. Four-year letterwinner at No. 1 singles for coach Mike Rogers at University of San Diego High School in San Diego, Calif.  Three-time first-team All-CIF selection. Named University's Most Outstanding Player three years in a row.  Ranked in the Southern California juniors. Compiled an impressive 60-1 high school record. Won the back draw at the Copper Bowl, winning 12-straight matches.
