AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Saw limited action as a Freshman, going 0-1 in Singles play. Yet, with the additional experience gained, he looks to be a major contributor in 2008.
HIGH SCHOOL:
A 2006 graduate of nearby Torrey Pines High School... helped lead team to the CIF Championship three straight years...a semi-finalist in the CIF Singles Tournament and a champion in the 2006 CIF Doubles Tournament.

Born April 3, 1988... parents are Karel and Liba Placek...has two older siblings named Mike and Karolinka, and one younger sibling named Klarka... brother Mike is a professional beach volleyball player...is a Mechanical Engineering major at Sixth College... enjoys tennis, volleyball, surfing, and snowboarding in his spare time.
