Hawk Item – Became the first player in Iowa Open history to record four consecutive singles championships.

 

2002 Fall – Advanced to the quarterfinals in the consolation bracket of the Big Ten singles championships… posted a 3-2 record at Big Ten singles… competed in the prequalifying bracket of the Icy Hot/ITA Men’s All-American Championships… competed in the main draw of the Omni Hotels Midwest Region championships… compiled an overall singles record of 6-7… went 1-6 in doubles competition with Tres Jones (0-3), Johan Bergenas (1-2) and Pete Rose (0-1). 

 

2002 Spring – One of three Hawkeyes to be named team Most Valuable Player… led the team with a 7-2 Big Ten record while playing at the No. 4 singles position… posted an overall dual record of 10-6… went 4-0 in Iowa’s final home weekend, winning both singles contests and teaming up with Jake Wilson to win both doubles contests against Wisconsin and Minnesota… teamed with Wilson at the No. 2 doubles position, the duo led the team with a 6-3 Big Ten record and a 12-6 dual record.

 

2001 Fall – Went 2-4 in singles competition… recorded a team best 4-3 record in doubles competition with teammate Jake Wilson.

 

2001 Spring -- Posted an overall singles record of 13-9 at the No. 3-5 positions... recorded the team's second best Big Ten singles record at 5-5... went 10-11 at the No. 3 doubles position with teammate Pete Rose.

2000 Fall -- Recorded a 5-6 singles record... went 4-5 in doubles competition with teammate Pete Rose.

 

2000 Spring -- Recorded a singles record of 4-12... was 1-2 at the No. 5 position and 4-8 at the No. 6 position... competed at the Big Ten Singles Tournament... went 5-9 in doubles competition... was 4-8 in doubles at the No. 2 position and 1-1 at the No. 3 position.

 

1999 Fall -- Tied for the best singles record on the team at 7-2... went undefeated at the Advantage Spartans Invitational... had a 1-4 doubles record.

 

1998 Fall/1999 Spring -- Redshirted.

 

High School -- Four-year letterman with tennis and two years with basketball... freshman year resulted in an 8-8 record, improved to 15-1 sophomore year, 14-2 as a junior and with a 20-0 record as a senior... compiled a varsity record of 57-11... all-conference all four years and all-state in '97 and '98... 1997 state doubles champion and 1998 state single champion... coach was Doug Kauffman.
