Fall 2004: She returned to action this fall and posted a 2-9 singles record. She and Suzanna Gracanin were 2-7 in doubles.

Spring 2004: Her spring season was cut short in mid- February when she suffered an injury. She had played No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Cardinals up to that point and had a 6-10 overall record, going 4-5 in the dual season. A strong doubles player, she paired with Michele Spiess and ran up a 13-5 overall doubles mark and was 7-3 in the dual season. Spiess and Stewart were 4-3 at No. 1 and 2-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Fall 2003: Leslie teamed with Michele Spiess to record the team-best 6-2 doubles record. She posted a 1-5 record in singles during U of L’s ambitious fall schedule.

Junior College Experience: Leslie was a two-time All-American at Tyler Junior College as the National Champion in No. 2 singles and doubles in 2002. She was the 2002 Rookie of the Year. She won the 2001 Rolex Sportsmanship Award and was named to the USA/ITA National All-Star team. She was ranked in the ITA’s top five in singles.

High School: Leslie was a four-time district champion, three-time state qualifier. She lettered four years in tennis for coaches Arlene Stewart and James Hood. She was also a three-year letterwinner in basketball at point guard. During her junior career, Stewart was ranked in the top five in Texas in all age groups in singles. She was ranked in the top 100 in the country in Girls’ 18’s singles rankings.
