Paired with Bianca Gorbea, she won Flight 1 in doubles at the Michigan State Invitational. She had a breakout performance at the Rice Invitational when she won the D Flight singles. She came in third at the Tennessee fall tournament as well.

She had wins over Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Auburn. In doubles play, chiefly teamed with Bianca Gorbea, she went 17-10 overall and 10-6 in dual play. At No. 2 doubles, she had 11 wins with Gorbea, including an eight-match winning streak to start the dual season. They had wins over Notre Dame, Minnesota, Auburn and Marquette. In the fall of 2005, Natalia posted a 7-4 singles record in her debut as a freshman. She posted wins over Wisconsin, Illinois, Denver and Detroit among others. She paired primarily with Stephania Velazquez to post a 7-3 doubles record with wins over Ohio State, Marquette, Wisconsin and Detroit.In dual play, Natalia went 9-14 overall in singles play and 10-7 overall in doubles play.
