1999-00 (Sophomore)
Finished with a 20-10 overall record, 12-4 at No. 5 singles... Teamed with Kristofer Stahlberg for a 15-5 record at No. 2 doubles...Advanced to the main draw at the National Clay Court Championships and the All-American Championships in the fall...Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll...Made the UMAA Honor Roll.

1998-99 (Freshman)
One of two freshmen in the lineup... Clinched the win over Illinois that put the Rebels in the NCAA Final Four for the third time...One of the top freshmen in the country...A consistent performer for the Rebels...Ended the year ranked No. 85 in the nation in singles...Posted a 29-12 overall record, 20-6 in dual matches...Went 13-3 at No. 5 singles...Posted a 10-2 record in the SEC at No. 5 singles...Had a winning streak of nine during the season...Teamed with Kristofer Stahlberg for a 13-5 record at No. 3 doubles...Defeated Georgia's Adam Seri to clinch the Rebels win over Georgia during the regular season...Defeated Francisco Rodriguez (Alabama's No. 1 player) in the fall...Won the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational consolation in the fall.

“Martin has the experience of being one of the instrumental players on the 1999 NCAA Final Four team.  He knows what it takes to win.  He has been slowed down by a shoulder injury the last two years and has not had the benefit of his ‘big serve’.  In the process he has developed a better well-rounded game.  Martin’s shoulder is now back to 100 percent.  I look for Martin to close out his career with a great year.”
