2003-04: Outlook
NU Coach Scott Jacobson expects great things from Leslie Harvey in 2004. Jacobson said Harvey has an impressive forehand and hits a heavy ball, allowing her to be an intimidating force on the court. Harvey will likely claim a spot in the top half of the singles lineup for the fourth straight season. She will also team with fellow senior Rose Ketmayura at No. 1 doubles.

Harvey was 0-4 in 2003 fall singles matches but went 2-0 in doubles competition playing with Ketmayura.

Harvey's older sister, Rebecca, is also on the NU roster.

2002-03: Junior
Harvey recorded a 9-12 singles record primarly playing in the top half of the lineup. Harvey who most successful at the No. 3 spot, where she posted a 5-1 record. Harvey was 2-7 in Big 12 Conference competition, as she notched wins over Lusic Ruskova of Missouri, 6-0, 6-0, and Lindsay Blau of Texas, 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles action, Harvey went 5-14 at the No. 1 spot, teaming with former Husker Jennifier Baccarani for three of those wins. She recorded her lone Big 12 victory of the season over Alison Bradley and Daria Potapova of Baylor, 8-1.

Harvey compiled a 4-5 singles and a 7-3 doubles record in the fall season. Harvey joined with NU junior Katie Garcia to win the "B" Flight Doubles with a 4-0 record at the 2002 Lloyd Stokstad Invitational.

2001-02: Sophomore
Harvey primarily played at the No. 3 singles spot during the season. In singles action, Harvey finished the year 10-11 overall and 2-9 in Big 12 Conference play. She had a season-high four-match win streak from Feb. 15 to Feb. 24.

In doubles action, Harvey finished the year with a 10-12 record and a 1-10 conference mark. Harvey teamed with Rose Ketmayura for 13 matches, finishing with a 7-6 record. Harvey’s lone Big 12 doubles win came against Kansas’ Cheryl Malliah and Aurelie Bejar, 8-4.

2000-01: Freshman
Harvey quickly took over the No. 1 singles spot in the Huskers’ third match against Creighton and didn’t look back. She ended the regular season with a 9-13 spring singles record. Harvey was able to hold the No. 1 singles spot all year after gaining the top slot three matches into the season. In doubles, Harvey teamed up with Elissa Kinard for most of the year at the No. 2 spot, where they posted a 10-6 record. Overall, Harvey’s spring doubles record was 12-12.

The highlight of Harvey’s season was a victory over No. 68 Irina Tereschenko of Texas Tech, 6-2, 6-1 in singles play.

In the fall season, Harvey posted a 9-4 singles record. At the Shocker Classic, she lost in the second round, but then fought back to the consolation finals where she eventually lost to fellow Husker Ndali Ijomah. At the ITA Regionals, Harvey lost in the first round, but then won her next two matches. In doubles, she teamed with her sister, Rebecca, and posted a record of 2-2 at the Shocker Classic and ITA Regionals.

Before Nebraska
Before attending Nebraska, Harvey, who was home-schooled by her mother Gayle, played in state and national tournaments and was coached by Angel Lopez and her father, Dave Harvey. Harvey has been ranked as high as No. 1 in both Southern California and Florida.

Personal
The daughter of Dave and Gayle Harvey, Leslie was born on Jan. 8, 1982, in Springfield, Mo. She is an advertising major. Harvey has two younger sisters, Amanda and Noelle, and an older sister, Rebecca, who is also a member of the Nebraska women’s tennis team.
