Was promoted to Head Coach in July of 2009. Canada served as the assistant coach for the past 14seasons under head coach Kathy Kolankiewicz.
Canada is a former Lobo tennis athlete (1991-94) where he earned all-conference honors three of his four years (1991-92, 94). Cañada was named All-American in doubles in 1994 with his partner Coulter Wright. Cañada played on Lobo teams that swept the WAC Championships from 1992-94.
