    IN NON-COLLEGIATE ACTION: Had outstanding summer of 2004 ... paired with Colin O'Brien of William & Mary to win the Irish Close doubles championship, defeating Tom Hamilton, formerly a national top-five doubles player at Arkansas, in the final ... reached semifinals of Irish Close singles tournament, falling to eventual champion Peter Clarke, who was ranked among the top 400 in the world ... defeated Conor Taylor, formerly North Carolina State's No. 1 player who was ranked as high as 36th in the nation, twice in the semifinals of tournaments in Ireland ... played his way into a wild card while qualifying at the Peoria, Ill., futures in 2005, but could not participate due to summer school.
