USD: Enters his sophomore season with the Toreros where he is projected to play a key role for USD in the bottom half of the singles lineup... This past Fall season earned three singles wins in the Consolation round of the ITA West Regional Championships... Also picked up three wins at the Torero Challenge... Last year as a freshman turned in a solid year, finishing 11-6 in dual match contests (9-4 at No. 5 singles).

High School: From Tokyo, Japan, Ryo attend Seijo Gakuen School... He was ranked at No. 242 internationally before becoming a Torero... In June of 2004 he was the Boys 18 Singles Champion of the Thamrin Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia... Reached the Round of 16 in the Japan F10 Futures Tournament held in Tokyo in September, 2005.

Personal: Chose USD for its excellent tennis program... Was also recruited by Tulane and Georgia Tech... Hobbies include tennis and skiing... Majoring in Business.
