Scott Patterson enters his second season at USC and his fourth collegiate season overall after transferring from Glendale Junior College in 2002... Compiled a 4-4 singles record during the fall, competing at the ITA West Regional and SCTA Championships... Ranked No. 99 in the ITA preseason singles poll.
2003:
As the team’s No. 7 player, Patterson stepped in at No. 6 (and one match at No. 4) for 12 dual matches... Compiled a 9-14 overall singles record, a 5-7 mark in dual matches and 1-3 record in the Pac-10... Clinched USC’s win over San Diego on April 2 with a final win at No. 6... Only played one doubles match with Daniel Tontz (0-1)... Posted a 4-3 record in fall tournaments... Advanced to the second round of the SCTA Championships and the second round of the ITA Omni Regional Championships.
JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Patterson played at Glendale Junior College in 2001 and 2002 ... Played No. 1 singles both years ... Went 16-0 in singles in 2002 and was named team MVP ... In the two years, he compiled at 27-4 overall record and 16-0 mark in Western Conference matches ... Named to the Dean’s List both years.
