2011-12 SEASON: Sarmiento finished his sophomore season ranked No. 25 in the nation in ITA singles and No. 35 in doubles with teammate Daniel Nguyen... Earned ITA All-America honors for singles... Named to NCAA All-Tournament Team for No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles with Nguyen... Also selected to All-Pac-12 First Team and to USTA Collegiate Team... Twice picked Pac-12 Player of the Week (Jan. 30, April 2)... Won Sherwood Collegiate Cup Doubles Championship with Nguyen... Named to ITA National Team Indoor All-Tournament Team for No. 2 doubles with Nguyen... Went 38-12 overall in singles, going 22-6 in dual matches... Was 18-5 at the No. 2 position, and went 1-0 at No. 1 and 3-1 at No. 3... In doubles, went 32-6 overall, going 25-3 in dual matches... Won the 2011 Pac-10 Doubles Championship with Steve Johnson... Was named to the All-Pac-10 Second Team, and was a two-time Pac-10 Player of the Week... Played in the NCAA Doubles first round with Johnson... Finished the season ranked No. 39 in the nation in ITA singles and No. 32 in doubles with Johnson... Went 36-10 overall in singles, going 21-3 in dual matches... Played primarily at the No. 4 singles position, going 16-3 at that spot... Was undefeated 6-0 in Pac-10 dual matches... Also played at No. 2 (2-0) and No. 3 (3-0)... In doubles, was 28-9 overall, including a 15-4 mark in dual matches...
