THIS SEASON: Eric Johnson enters his second season at USC.
2011-12 SEASON: Johnson went 19-9 overall and 8-2 in dual match singles as a freshman... Was 4-1 at the No. 5 position and also played at No. 3 (1-0) and No. 6 (3-1)... Was 10-8 in doubles, going 4-0 in dual matches... Played with six different teammates in doubles during the season... In the fall, won the SoCal Intercollegiates singles consolation title.
HIGH SCHOOL: Johnson graduated from Bellarmine Prep in San Jose, Calif.... Won singles and doubles championships at the 2011 USTA Winter Supernationals... Won sectionals in Northern California.
PERSONAL: Eric Johnson was born February 17, 1993 in San Jose, Calif.... Son of James and Allison... Has three siblings, Brent, Sarah and Rachel... Says witnessing USC win its third national championship was one of his most exciting sports moments... Enjoys video games and playing guitar in his free time and would one day like to skydive and visit Europe... Majoring in business... Hopes to play on the pro tour after graduation.
