2005:
Played in the No.5 position throughout her junior season... Compiled a 26-12 overall singles record, 18-5 mark in dual matches and 5-3 against Pac-10 opponents... Finished the season ranked No. 42 in doubles with partner Lindsey Nelson...Champion of the 2005 Pac-10 Championship Invitational...Finished out the season on a nine-match win streak...Defeated all of her opponents in NCAA play to help the Trojans advance to the NCAA quarterfinals...Reached the quarterfinals in the Fall Desert Classic where she fell to teammate Dianne Matias...Played most doubles matches with partner Nicole Leimbach at the No.1 spot (6-11)...The duo reached the Pac-10 Indoor semifinals before falling to No.7 Barnes/Burdette of Stanford...Also paired up with Nelson in the No. 1 (1-2) and No. 2 (3-0) positions...The couple compiled an overall record of 8-4...Had significant wins over No.1 Hollands/Mlakar of Arizona and No. 21 Callillo/Pooler of Arizona State... In the ITA Regional Championships they reached the semifinals before loosing to Pilecka/Burkett of Arizona State... The pair also advanced to the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 Championships...Also teamed up with Judy DeVera (2-1) in NCAA play, and Anca Anastasiu (3-1). Entered the season ranked No.78 in preaseason singles poll and No. 36 in doubles with Lindsey Nelson.

2004:
Vermeulen completed the year ranked No. 62 in the final ITA singles poll and No. 8 in the final ITA doubles poll with partner Luana Magnani... Earned ITA All-America honors in doubles... Named All-Pac-10 honorable mention... Made the jump to the No. 2 singles position and compiled a 29-11 overall singles record, an 19-7 mark in dual matches and a 7-4 record against Pac-10 opponents... Played six matches at No. 1 singles and compiled a 3-3 record... Collected a key victories over No. 15 Alice Barnes of Stanford on April 2 and a win over No. 18 Jackie Carleton in the NCAA Round of 16 on May 20... Advanced to the singles Round of 16 at the Pac-10 Tournament... Selected to compete in the NCAA Doubles Championship but fell in the opening round... Played doubles primarily with Magnani throughout the season at the No. 1 position... The pair compiled an 18-10 overall record, 15-8 mark in dual matches and 6-5 record against Pac-10 opponents... Also played doubles matches with Dianne Matias (5-2) and Erica Sauer (0-1)... Ranked 70th in the ITA preseason singles rankings and No. 42 in doubles with Magnani... Compiled a 10-3 singles record in fall tournaments... Advanced to the semifinals at the ITA West Regional and the consolation quarterfinals of the Palm Springs Fall Desert Classic... She and Magnani advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA West Regional.

2003:
Vermeulen joined the team in January of 2003 and proved to be a valuable asset for the Trojans throughout the dual match season... She compiled the team's best singles and doubles record... Only played dual matches (did not compete at any tournaments) at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles... Finished with a 19-3 overall singles record and 4-1 mark in the Pac-10... Only dropped two singles matches throughout the season and posted 13 consecutive victories in February and March... Suffered a groin injury on April 4 against Stanford (but still won her match that day against the Cardinal's Story Tweedie-Yates) that kept her out of the lineup for four of the team's final five matches... In the NCAAs, she won her singles matches against Sacramento State and Kansas State... With partner Melissa Esmero, she went 15-8 overall in doubles and 2-3 in the Pac-10... The pair won their NCAA doubles matches against Sacramento State, Georgia Tech and Kansas State.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Vermeulen graduated from Bloemhof Girls High in Stellenbosch, South Africa, in December of 2002 ... Played No. 1 singles and doubles on her high school team for four years and served as team captain ... Honored as the Junior Sports Person of the Year in 1999 and the Senior Sports Person of the Year in 2000 and 2001 ... Also named the Sports Person of the Year in the province of Boland in 2002 ... Led Bloemhof to South Africa's team championship in 2001 and 2002 ... Ranked No. 1 in South Africa's 18 and 16-and-unders in both singles and doubles in 2000 (16s) and 2001 (18s).
