2006: Anastasiu finished the 2006 women’s tennis season ranked No. 68 in the nation... Went on a 16-match winning streak and went undefeated (8-0) in Pac-10 dual match competition... Played primarily at the No. 5 singles position (9-3) and was 6-0 at the No. 6 position and 4-0 at No. 4... Went 19-3 in dual matches and 25-12 overall in singles... Went 11-4 overall in doubles play and 7-1 in dual matches with various partners... Became USC’s 28th student-athlete to be named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American with a 3.978 GPA... Also received Academic All-District and Pac-10 All-Academic First Team honors... Qualified for the NCAA Singles Tournament, falling in the Round of 64 to #17 Amanda Fish of Vanderbilt... Went 3-5 in singles in the fall... Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Western Regional before falling to Bianca Dulgheru of Pepperdine… Ranked No. 28 in the ITA preseason singles rankings and No. 22 in the ITA preseason doubles rankings with partner Carine Vermeulen.

2005: Anastasiu primarily played at the No. 3 singles position… Compiled a 29-11 overall singles record… Completed the year ranked No. 48 in the final ITA singles poll and No. 44 in the final ITA doubles poll with partner Lindsey Nelson… Named to the 2005 All-Pac-10 honorable mention team and to the 2005 Pac-10 All-Academic first team with a 4.0 GPA... The only player with a perfect GPA among the 51 women and men honored by the Pac-10… Put together a 16-2 streak in February and March… After an upset victory over No.6 Suzi Babos of California, advanced to the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 Tournament... Lost in semis to Anne Yelsey of Stanford… Beat first three opponents in the NCAA Tournament… Reached the semifinals of the Fall Desert Classic… Played doubles primarily with Nelson throughout the season at the No. 2 position, compiling a 12-3 overall record… The duo went undefeated for 12 straight matches before losing on May 14 to No. 27 Coladillo/Pooler of Arizona State… Also paired up with Carine Vermeulen (3-1) in the Fall Desert Classic and reached the semifinals… Also teamed up with Taylynn Snyder (3-3) and Erica Sauer (0-1)… Ranked No.62 in the ITA preseason rankings… Compiled a 7-4 singles record in fall tournaments… Advanced to the semifinals of the Fall Desert Classic and consolation quarterfinals at ITA regionals.

2004: Anastasiu joined the team in January of 2004... Named to the 2004 All-Pac-10 second team... Completed the year ranked No. 49 in the final ITA singles poll... Went 20-10 overall in singles, 17-7 in dual matches and 7-4 against Pac-10 opponents... Played primarily at the No. 3 singles (14-4) and No. 2 doubles positions... Played six matches at No. 2 and posted a 3-3 record... At the Pac-10 Tournament, advanced to the main draw semifinals with upset victories over No. 10 Daria Panova of Oregon, No. 87 Jieun Jacobs of California and No. 28 Claire Carter of Washington... Was eventually eliminated by Stanford’s No. 13 Alice Barnes in the semis... Also collected key dual match victories over No. 31 Sasha Podkolzina of California on April 16... Selected to compete in the 2004 NCAA Singles Championships... Lost in the first round to No. 17 Dea Sumantri of Washington... Played most doubles matches with partner Dianne Matias... The pair went 13-8 overall and 12-7 in dual matches... Also played doubles matches with Bernadette Bayani (0-2) and Erica Sauer (1-2).

HIGH SCHOOL: Anastasiu graduated from Crawford College (equivalent to U.S. high school) in Pretoria, South Africa, in December of 2002... Played No. 1 singles and doubles on her prep team for four years... Ranked No. 1 in South Africa in 18-and-unders and 16-and-unders... Represented South Africa at the 1999, 2000 and 2001 (U16 and U18) World Youth Cup (also known as the Connoly Cup)... Reached the semifinals of the Osaka Mayor's Cup in October of 2000 and captured the singles title at the South Africa Nationals in U18s that same year... Earned her best world ranking in 2001, reaching No. 547 in the WTA singles rankings... Reached the finals of three professional tournaments in 2000 and 2003 (Benoni, Pretoria and Benin City), and the semifinals of a tournament in 2001 (Durban).
