JUNIOR (2002-03) – Owned a 24-14 singles record, including a 13-9 dual mark . . . played all of his matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions . . . completed the season as the 54th-ranked singles player in the country and the top singles player in the Central Region . . . put up a 14-13 doubles record, including a 10-9 mark with Aleksander Charpantidis . . . earned a No. 8 regional ranking with Charpantidis . . . named the WAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week on January 20 . . . advanced to the second round of the 2002 Omni Hotels National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships . . . was the Region V Singles Champion . . . earned all-WAC first-team singles honors . . . was named the Tulsa Men’s Tennis Player of the Year, the Region ITA Player to Watch and was an all-WAC Scholar Athlete selection.
SOPHOMORE (2001-02) – Posted his best season at TU with a 22-8 record, including a 17-4 dual mark . . . notched a perfect 6-0 record at the No. 1–3 spots in the lineup, an 8-3 mark at No. 4 singles and a 3-1 record at the No. 5 slot . . . selected as the 2002 Region V Player to Watch . . . ended the season ranked No. 7 among Region V singles players . . . named the WAC Tennis Player of the Week on April 8 . . . began the spring campaign with an eight match win streak in singles . . . was 15-16 in doubles competition, including 12-12 with partner Pawel Sebastyanski in the No. 3 position . . . recorded a 5-4 singles mark and 3-3 doubles record during the fall season . . . began the fall with three consecutive singles wins and was 3-1 in doubles with Sebastyanski.
FRESHMAN (2000-01) – Was named the 2001 ITA Region V Rookie Player of the Year . . . recorded a 12-13 singles mark and an 8-5 doubles record.
PRIOR TO TULSA – Was a four-year letterwinner at Juan Gutenberg High School in Mar del Plata, Argentina . . . as a senior, ranked No. 11 in the under 18 age group . . . won the grade No. 2 title at the national tournament . . . was the top-ranked player in Mar del Plata when he was 16 . . . won the 1-3 categories for Club Nautica.
PERSONAL – Majoring in international business . . . named to the Dean’s List and to the all-WAC Academic team as a sophomore and junior . . . born July 16, 1981 . . . one of five children of Aurora Gonzalez and Hugo Tejerina.
