SOPHOMORE (2010-11) - Secured a 20-12 singles mark and a 24-13 doubles record in his first season competing for Tulsa . . . played primarily at No. 3 and No. 4 singles and was a mainstay at No. 1 doubles with Ashley Watling . . . named to the all-C-USA Singles First Team and the all-C-USA Doubles First Team . . . earned Outstanding Doubles Team of the Championship with Watling following the 2011 Conference USA Championship . . . named the Conference USA Player of the Week on February 22 . . . reached the Round of 16 at the NCAA Doubles Championship after defeating the No. 16-ranked team of Dean Jackson and Patrick Pohlmann of San Diego in the opening round . . . defeated eight ranked doubles teams during the season . . . competed against 13 doubles teams ranked inside the top 25 in the nation (including five top-five ranked teams), and upset six of them . . . defeated No. 13 Nick Andrews and Christoffer Konigsfeldt of California, No. 17 Vahid Mirzadeh and Connor Smith of Florida State, No. 21 Raony Carvalho and Rafael Garcia of Texas Tech, No. 21 Matt Allare and Peter Kobelt of Ohio State, and No. 24 Aleksey Bessonov and Rifat Biktyakov of Oklahoma State . . . had a stretch during the spring season where he compiled a 10-2 singles record . . . went 3-0 overall at the Conference USA Championship . . . teamed with Watling to put together a perfect 3-0 doubles record during the NCAA Championship, which included an 8-3 win over Ed Corrie and Vasko Mladenov of Texas in the Second Round . . . defeated Ben Chen of Texas 6-2, 6-3 in the NCAA Second Round to help Tulsa earn the 4-3 decision over the No. 14-ranked Longhorns and send the Golden Hurricane to its first appearance in the Round of 16 in school history . . . earned a career-high ITA singles rank of No. 96 on January 4, 2011 and ended the year at No. 105 in the nation . . . reached a career-high ITA doubles rank of No. 19 on both February 14, 2011 and April 26, 2011 . . . ended the year as the No. 20-ranked doubles tandem in the nation . . . dropped No. 22 Jeff Dadamo of Texas A&M in three sets in the consolation singles draw at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championship, and reached the finals of the consolation doubles draw at the same event . . . advanced to the Round of 16 at the fall Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in both singles and doubles . . . reached the singles Round of 16 at the USTA Central Region Championship, falling to teammate Marcelo Arevalo . . . named an ITA Scholar Athlete.
