PRIOR TO TULSA - De Klerk was the No. 1 player on his high school team at Stellenbosch HS team that won the Wayne Ferreira Challenge his sophomore and junior years . . . the challenge is an annual invitational pitting the top high school teams in a national championship tournament . . . De Klerk also captured three individual national championships in South Africa, the U-15, U-16 and U-18 national titles.
