Gostek posted a 3-4 singles record along with a 4-5 doubles mark. He and Stephen Mitchell advanced to the finals of the ITA Regional Indoors, earning the pair a No. 13 preseason doubles ranking.
2002-2003 (Junior):
Gostek was named MVP by his teammates for the second time in his career, he also earned that honor in 2001, his freshman season... Gostek began his junior year with an 11-match win-streak on his way to a 20-win dual season... Gostek took down five of the nine ranked opponents he faced in the season... Gostek paired with William Boyles in doubles throughout most of the season and the pair posted a 13-9 record together... overall Gostek had 21 dual wins on the year... He and Stephen Mitchell were the only Crimson Tide players to have 20 wins in both singles and doubles.
2001-2002 (Sophomore):
Gostek won the team’s “110% Award” at the annual spring banquet... Gostek elevated his career doubles record to 32-24 while pairing with five different partners in 30 matches... Gostek played most of his dual matches in the top spot for the Crimson Tide with classmate Stephen Mitchell. Gostek also notched eight wins while playing at No. 1-3 spots in the Tide’s singles lineup.
2000-2001 (Freshman):
Gostek was voted the team’s Most Valuable player for his efforts in his freshman campaign... He was second on team in dual singles wins (17) and SEC wins (8) playing primarily in the No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions... Gostek won his first six collegiate matches, including a win in his first SEC match versus Kentucky.

Gostek graduated from Thornhill Prep in 2000 where he won the school’s regional tournament in 1998... Chris is a former Canadian doubles champion and finalist in the Canadian singles championship... He competed for Canada in the Sunshine Cup in 1998 and 1999.

Chris is the son of Antoni and Wanda Gostek... he has two sisters: Maggie, 24 and Katharine, 12... Born April 13, 1981.
