Tom represented Wales twice in the Four Nations Championships, an international tournament including England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales... Tom was also the youngest person to represent his state men’s team at age 14...  He has won several junior events in England, as well as Florida and South Carolina... He trained at prestigious junior academies such as Saddlebrook in Tampa, Fla. and Van der Meer’s in Hilton Head, S.C.... In the U.S., McVey would have been ranked the No. 1 player in the South (age 16 and under), but was ineligible for an official ranking due to residency requirements...
