One of the Tide’s most intense and physical players, Molnar saw action last year in the middle of the line-up after enrolling in January. This fall he posted a 6-5 record with several solid wins. Coach Pate believes that he is a true student of the game and constantly self evaluates his tactics to give himself the best chance for success. Molnar possesses a powerful serve with a great kick second serve. He likes to dictate offensive patterns and end points as the aggressor and feels comfortable attacking the net and playing an all court style. Eric is quickly learning to build points more from the backcourt. He is naturally strong player but has devoted time to becoming more lean and developing more quickness. He started his career strong last spring winning 8 of his first 10 matches. According to Coach Pate, Molnar is close to making a huge jump to becoming a force on the national level. Prio to coming to Alabama, Molnar was the No. 2 ranked Canadian junior singles player and finished his junior career as the Boy's 18 doubles champion of Canada.
