Spring 2011: Suffered an ankle injury at the SEC Indoor Championships in January…Attempted to come back, playing doubles in one dual match, but did not play otherwise the remainder of the spring…Scored an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles with Sekou Bangoura Jr. vs. UCF in his only dual appearance…Also posted a doubles win over LSU’s top-10 pair of Sebastian Carlsson and Neal Skupski at SEC Indoors, earning Alford and Bangoura a national ranking for much of the spring…Ranked 88th in the final ITA national doubles rankings…Won his first-round singles match at SEC Indoors vs. LSU’s Stefan Szacinski before an ankle injury halted his Round of 32 matchup with Ole Miss’ Jonas Lutjen.

 

Fall 2010: Posted a 7-7 singles record and a 10-4 doubles record with Andrew Butz…Notched his first career win over a nationally-ranked player with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Christian Blocker (preseason No. 72) at the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic at Bradenton, Fla.…Reached the doubles final at the same event…Also advanced to the doubles quarterfinals at the Texas Invitational in Austin, Texas.

 

Prior to Florida
