Singles: Final Fila National Ranking: 44; Final ITA South Region Ranking: 13; Season-High National Ranking: 44 (Final 2006-07 ranking) … marched into the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championships, opening with an impressive 6-1, 6-1 win over Arizona’s 42nd-ranked Danielle Steinberg before a 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 upset over 16th-ranked Fani Chifchieva of Auburn in the second round ... went 10-2 in final 12 dual matches of the year … played the Nos. 3, 4 and 5 in the dual match lineup, including a 6-2 record at No. 5 … 17-6 dual match record ... tried to rally (on the receiving end of a 5-4 deficit in the second set and fought off three match-points to force a tiebreaker), but dropped a heart-breaking 6-4, 7-6 (4) decision to UCLA’s Alex McGoodwin in the clinching match of UF’s 4-3 loss in the NCAA Quarterfinals ... provided the thrilling clinching win in the NCAA Round of 16 by defeating Iva Mihaylova 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in two hours and 24 minutes, rallying from down a break at 4-3 in the third for the win ... her match was the clincher in both losses to Georgia, including the 6-4, 6-7 (1), 6-1 decision against Darya Ivanova in the final of the SEC Tournament … sat out three dual matches to rest an injury … highest-ranked opponent defeated in dual match play was Miami’s 53rd-ranked Romy Farah, 6-1, 7-5, at the No. 3 position … earned her first career double-bagel with a shutout against Jacksonville’s Fernanda Carrero in the NCAA Team First Round … 4-3 record in three-set matches … 4-3 record in dual match-clinching matches.

Doubles: Final Fila National Ranking: 21 (with Diana Srebrovic); Final ITA South Region Ranking: 6 (with Srebrovic); Season- High National Ranking: 15 (with Srebrovic, April 30, 2007) … paired during the dual match season with Srebrovic (8-2 record), Anastasia Revzina (4-2) and Lolita Frangulyan (4-0) ... first teamed with Srebrovic at the No. 2 spot on March 23rd against Arkansas ... provided the clinching doubles-point wins in UF’s first two rounds of the NCAA Championships, including the 8-5 decision over USF’s Gabriela Duch and Jessica Sweeting after the other two matches had split results ... began pairing with Srebrovic on a six-match win streak that included moving up to the No. 1 position and defeating four top-18-ranked opponents with the highest-ranked win coming against Kentucky’s 11th-ranked Kim Coventry and Joelle Schwenk, 8-3, that clinched the doubles point and sparked a 4-3 dual match victory … two days prior to win over the Wildcat pair was an 8-1 victory over Vanderbilt’s 18th-ranked Amanda Taylor and Amanda Fish, helping UF earn the 4-3 team triumph and defeat the Commodores in Nashville for the first time since April 1, 2000 … win streak halted in the final of the SEC Tournament, after Borsanyi and Srebrovic held a 5-1 lead but lost an 8-6 decision to Georgia’s 13th-ranked Yvette Hyndman and Darya Ivanov in the deciding doubles-point match … with Frangulyan, pulled out a tight 9-8 (3) win over North Carolina’s M. Fanjoy and A. Smith that led to a 4-3 Gator dual match victory … 6-1 in doubles-point clinching matches with Srebrovic, 1-0 with Revzina and 1-0 with Frangulyan.

 

2006 FALL

Singles: Preseason Fila National Ranking (Sept. 8): none … Fall ITA South Region Ranking (Dec. 8): 17 ... won a team-high nine matches during the fall … 2-1 versus ranked opponents, with the best win a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Vanderbilt’s 17th-ranked Amanda Fish in the quarterfinals of the SEC Fall Coaches Classic … reach the final of the SEC Fall Coaches Classic, where she lost to Gator teammate Megan Alexander, 6-4, 6-1 … upset USF’s 68th-ranked Liz Cruz 6-2, 6-3 at the Gator Fall Classic, where she went 2-1 in her inaugural collegiate event … lost a tough 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 decision to Georgia Tech’s 74th-ranked Tarryn Rudman in the round of 64 of the ITA South Regional, but regrouped to win four straight matches and reach the final of the consolation draw, where she dropped a 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 outcome to Georgia’ Tech’s Amanda McDowell … 3-2 in three-set matches.

Doubles: Preseason Fila National Ranking (Sept. 8): none … Fall ITA South Region Ranking (Dec. 8): 5 (with Lolita Frangulyan) ... paired with Frangulyan (5-2), Alex Liles (2-0) and Nina Suvak (1-0) … in first event paired with Frangulyan, reached the semifinals of the ITA South Regional that included an impressive 8-2 win over Georgia’s Natalie Frazier and Kelly Hyndman before falling to Florida State’s L. MacFarlance and Nicole Slater, 8-4 … opened with Nina Suvak and an 8-1 win over Miami’s Sabatina and Seenauth at the Gator Fall Classic, but finished the event with Alex Liles, earning two solid victories, 8-5 over Duke’s Cargill and Granson and 8-0 over USF’s Keefe and Schumacher.
