-Picked up his first career collegiate singles win over South Carolina’s Kazuya Otani

-Won his first career collegiate doubles match over Otani and Joe Veeder, teaming with Matic Omerzel

-Both wins came at the Bulldog Scramble

-Also competed in the Thomasville Collegiate Tennis Invitational and the Southern

Intercollegiate Championships

2003-04 (Freshman Season)

-Saw his first collegiate action in the Bulldog Scramble

-Four-year letterwinner at Norcross High School

-Played No. 1 singles three out of four years

-Two-time team MVP

-Earned Honor Roll accolades all four years

Born Sept. 13, 1985 in Norcross...son of Charles and Janet Benedict...father is a tennis pro and played at Duke University...sister Jennifer, 24, is a 2002 graduate of Georgia and sister Lindsey, 21, is currently a senior at UGA...also has an older brother, Charles, 28...is a Pre-Business major.
