Bateup racked up a 21-12 overall record earning a Conference USA First Team selection ... her 21 wins were second on the squad behind Kami Miller ... compiled a 15-8 mark during the spring season splitting time at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions ... won 11 of her 17 matches in the No. 2 slot ... paced squad notching six match clinching victories ... opened the spring winning her first three matches (Jan. 29-Feb. 1) ... clinched victory at Southern Miss (Feb. 1) with a 6-3, 6-3 win ... wrapped up back-to-back matches with straight-set wins against Sam Houston State (Feb. 12) and at Texas-San Antonio (Feb. 26) ... dropped a tough 6-4, 6-3 decision at No. 12 Arizona State (March 18) ... earned a hard-fought three-set win at New Mexico State (March 31) after falling 6-3 in the first set ... concluded the regular season winning five of her last six matches (March 31-April 9) ... picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win to clinch match at UTEP (April 1) ... earned a pair of DNF's against East Carolina (April 21) and Rice (April 22) at the C-USA Tournament ... tallied a 6-4 mark in the fall season ... picked up two wins in the consolation draw at the ITA Southwest Regionals (Oct. 23) ... completed a 3-0 weekend at the Cougar Fall Classic (Oct. 28 - 30), including two wins in the No. 1 singles slot ... competed strong at Seminole Fall Classic (Nov. 11 - 12) in Flight #1 singles against regionally-ranked opponents from USF and Georgia Tech ... paired with Vicky Simpson compiling a 13-6 doubles record in the No. 3 doubles position ... the duo was second on the squad clinching four doubles points ... in nine of the pair's 12 spring victories, the team didn't lose more than three games ... won first six matches of the spring season (Jan. 29-Feb. 26) ... kept 4-3 comeback victory alive at No. 33 Mississippi State (Feb. 2) with a strong 8-2 win ... notched dominating 8-3 victory at No. 34 Texas A&M (Feb. 4) ... clinched doubles point with a hard-fought 8-6 win against Sam Houston State (Feb. 12) ... strung together a five-match winning streak (March 16-April 1) ... closed out doubles point in back-to-back matches against Texas-Pan American (March 25) and Tulsa (March 26) ... picked up a convincing 8-2 win at UTEP (April 1) ... also played doubles with Loli Gomez going 4-5 including a pair of matches at the C-USA Tournament (April 21-22).
2004-05 Season (Freshman)
Bateup compiled a 13-11 record after not seeing any action in the fall season ... 11 of her 13 victories came in two sets ... saw action at four different positions from No. 2 to No. 5 singles ... most sucessful going 6-0 at the No. 4 singles position ... had a season-best five-match winning streak from Feb. 13 - Feb. 19 ... clinched Houston's first-round victory at the Conference USA Tournament with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Jill Klauck of Cincinnati (Apr. 21) ... went 4-1 in doubles with fellow Aussie Biljana Dimovska ... was 5-10 in doubles with five other partners.

Winner of 13 different tournaments during her time at Eaglemont T.C. and Sacred Heart ... claimed the President's singles at the Victorian Grasscourt Championships ... 2003 runner-up in the 18-and-under Victorian Schoolgirls ... represented the state of Victoria in the Reid Cup ... member of the Western Zone Squad ... National Junior Claycourt Champion in the U/16 singles feed-in ... chosen her senior class captain ... received an Academic Excellence award in chemistry and religious education, as well as Student Excellence awards for English, math, and Japanese.
