Fall 2002: Went 1-2 in singles during the fall after winning his opening match over Ouachita Baptist’s Pierre Perez, 6-4, 6-4...Lost in the second round of the Middle Tennessee State tournament to UALR’s Alexei Poutchinets, 6-4, 6-7, 10-6...Qualified for the All-American Pre-Qualifier in singles, where he was eliminated by Arkansas’ Eduardo Pacheco, 7-6 (5), 6-2...Was teamed with Joe Schmulian for the season-opening tournament at Middle Tennessee, but Schmulian suffered a ligament tear in his foot, causing Bucewicz to miss the doubles draw...Teamed with fellow Aussie Nathan Orie in doubles at the ITA All-American Pre-Qualifier...The duo defeated Minnesota’s Robertson/Wettengel, 8-2, in the opening round, and downed Georgia State’s Franco/Lupic, 8-6 in the second round...Was eliminated from the tournament by Butler’s Gill/Gill, 9-7.

Spring 2002: Started his Tiger career with a bang, going 19-7 in singles, including an 18-6 record at No. 5 singles...Teamed with senior Michael LaHaie to posted an 18-3 mark at No. 3 doubles...The duo was also 0-1 at No. 2 doubles...Was also named to the C-USA Honor Roll for having a GPA of 3.0 or greater...His loss to Tennessee’s Jacob Olsen at No. 5 singles was the first singles match he had lost in 31 matches after doing undefeated at 28-0 as a prep player back in Australia.

Prep: Played at Salesian College in Australia...Never lost a tennis match in prep play going 7-0 in his final season and 28-0 in his career...Was also undefeated in doubles going 7-0 in his final season and 28-0 in his career...Played #1 in tennis...Was also the #2 player on his school team in table tennis, ran cross country and played goalkeeper in soccer...Graduated from Salesian in 2000.
